Riaan Struwig, Owner,

Chief Flight Instructor (CFI), PPG, PPT, PPC ….. GRADE A – Instructor

Riaan Struwig, beeing an aviator from the age of 5, started off with RC planes. Over the years his passion for planes became clear and joint the SAAF as a learner instrument Technician, Studied at Pretoria Technikon. Riaan work untill 2006 for Denel, System Engineer on several project.

Since 2005, Riaan Struwig got involved in Power Paragliding and became business partner in Flying Unlimited. Over the next few years they develop different Paramotors, and trikes, with more than 100 units sold to the market. Products like the nDiza Trike, Cumulus and Stratos PPG, Mamba and lately the Spider Paramotor.

Riaan Struwig competed at a very early stage in his PPG career in the SA championships and soon after became part of the Protea team, representing SA in Czech republic in 2009, and again selected for the 2012 Spain WPC. With More than 3000 flying hours on PPG/PPT/PPC/PG and LSA (light Sport Aircraft) and few thousand instruction hours behind his name.

After closing down Flying Unlimited around 2014, Riaan Struwig opened Epic Aviation, one of the largest PPG/PPT/PPC/PG schools in SA, based in Gauteng with dealers and schools(JB’s)  in SA.

Riaan Struwig also active involved with the farmers security committee and various conservation projects.



Tony Gibson

Epic Instructor, PPG/PPT/PPC, (CFI) PG…..GRADE A – Instructor

Tony Gibson, Paragliding, Paramotoring, Plane and Gyrocopter pilot and enthusiast, has been actively involved in growing the sport of Paramotoring for the last 30 years.Tony has a passion for the sport and his specialty is instructing students in the disciplines of Paramotors and various types of trikes.

Tony trains basic through to advanced flying skills, including formation and competition skills. Tony holds the current World Speed Record for a 100km out and return closed circuit flight, is the Team Epic Display lead pilot and former South African team captain. Tony represented RSA in 3 world championships and was the South African Champion for many years.

For three years Tony was the lead instructor, display pilot and team coach for the UAE national team while working in Dubai. He initiated and setup the rules and regulations for safe operation of PPG’s type aircraft in Dubai.

Adriaan Struwig

Adriaan Struwig, also an aviator from a young age, got involved with Paragliding from the age of 9y, and became one of the youngest PPG pilots, and got licences at 16y. Adriaan Struwig active and assist with Ground training, learning Students great techniques, and tips.

Adriaan Struwig is Studying at Potch University (NWU) 3rd year in BCom Electronics , and involved with the Potchestroom gliding club.
